1. Lanikai Beach
Lanikai is the locals best swimming beach in Hawaii.
It's clear waters, clean, wide beach, and swaying coconut
palms also make it a great place to snap that ideal Hawaiian
photo.This beach has a mile long stretch of powdered sugar
sand that is perfect for sunbathing. Sparkling turquoise
waters sheltered by a wide, protective offshore reef make it
perfect for swimming. Lanika is also known for kayaking,
outrigger canoeing, sailing, surfing, and windsurfing. And
with the twin Mokulua Islands in the background, Lanikai
lives up to its translated name of "heavenly sea."
2. Ke'e Beach Park
Looking for an ncredible sunsets, then Ke‘e Beach Park is
your spot. This top ten beach in Hawaii is located at the
end of the road on Kauai’s North Shore and is between the
dramatic Na Pali Coast and Limahuli Stream. The reef lagoon
at Ke‘e Beach is a fantastic snorkeling site. The water is
clear and there are there are countless numbers of reef fish
and turtles. Ke‘e Beach’s backshore is lushly vegetated by
ironwood trees, coconut palms, and guava.
3. Wailea Beach
Wailea Beach is located on Maui’s South Shore and is one
of several perfect beaches serving the Wailea Beach resort
community. This beach that was rated USA’s best beach in
1999. is a large, wide, crescent, graced with fine, golden
sand. The beach is protected at both ends by large, black
lava points, making the calm waters ideal for swimming.
Clear blue waves roll into shore and are perfect for riding,
with or without a board. Even though this beach is part of a
resort, there is public access, but parking can be in short
supply. A paved beach walk winds in between the luxury
resorts, restaurants and sandy coves. The relatively flat
beach is not only great for sunbathing, but provides an
exceptional whale watching vantage point from December
through April.
4. Kapalua Bay Beach
Golden sand, swaying palms, calm waters surround you while
you sunbath on the Kapalua Bay Beach. In 1991, this beach
not only rated best beach in Hawaii, but best in the United
States.. This beach is situated between two lava points and
bordered by a coconut tree grove, Kapalua is known for its
tranquil surf, ideal for the less-than-adventurous swimmer
and families with small children.
5. Kailua Beach
Kailua is often rated as the "Best Beach in the World," and
is a generally wonderful place to enjoy swimming and beach
recreational activities. It has a very nice, fine sandy
beach. There are generally no significantly hazardous ocean
or beach conditions.Kailua Beach is a world-class wind
surfing destination for pros and amateurs alike. There are
several shops in Kailua town which offer rental gear and
that can arrange for lessons.
6. Hapuna Beach State Park
Next on our best beaches is Hapuna Beach in Hawaii. This
beach was rated by beach in the US by Dr. Beach in 1993.
This is another wonderful sandy beach, 1/2 mile long and
almost 200 feet wide during the summer months. Swimming
conditions here are usually excellent. There is easy access
to the water, full facilities, crystal clear water and
beautiful scenery. Snorkeling is great at the south end of
the beach where the fish are varied and there is a coral
reef.
7. Poipu Beach Park
Kauai’s south shore’s most popular beach and Dr. Beaches
2001’s Best Beach in America, Poipu Beach is ideal for
families. A small boulder breakwater creates a protected
pool-like area where children can play and parents can
snorkel or vice versa. Outside the swimming area, the ocean
bottom slopes gently to overhead depths. The south shore’s
bays create ideal wave conditions for surfers. This beach is
a pretty curve of white sand about 1,000 feet long and 50
feet wide, with plenty of room for sandcastle building.

9. Hulopo'e Beach
This protected beach is the safest place on the island to
swim. It's beautiful white sand beach and underwater coral
formations makes it the central recrational area on Lanai.
The Manele Bay Hotel sits on the bluff overlooking this
perfect site. The beach is located in a protected Marine
Life Conservation Area so there are numerous and colorful
fish as well as unique coral formations found here. To the
left of the beach is Pu'u Pehe Rock, also known as
Sweetheart Rock.
10. Hamoa Beach
Located just outside of Hana, this beautiful public
beach shares some facilities with the Hotel Hana Maui. Sea
cliffs surround the bay and the vegetation is lush. This
beach has been voted one of Hawaii's favorite beaches.
Offshore is the little coconut-topped island of Alau.
10. Kaanapali
For some reason, Kaanapali Beach has many different names
which include Keka‘a Beach, Canoe Beach, and Dig Me Beach,
but whatever you call it, it’s a watersport lover’s
paradise. Virtually every type of ocean recreation is
available. Snorkeling and scuba diving are outstanding. The
Black Rock is a large lava rock that divides the beach. This
is a busy, popular beach that fronts two resorts and is
located in West Maui. What you give up in solitude you gain
in shopping, restaurants, boat tours, fishing, kayaking,
sailing, sunbathing, and people watching.
